Easy way to make a graphic website using Photoshop November 24, 2009

Photoshop is a useful application in creating any graphic-based materials such as posters, book covers, art works and websites. To start, look for a good image to use for your website, I recommend something you can divide into three or more parts; you must have a header, a body and a navigation menu. Here is an example:

Once you have your image layout, you can use the slice tool on the tool bar in Photoshop. Then, simply slice through the sections that you want your header, navigation and content, and other parts that you want some changes. After you have all your slices, double-click on the number of the slice and rename it so that you know which slice is which, like this:

| Slice 2 –> Navigation |
| Slice 3 –> Content |
And then, you must save everything in a webpage format or else all your work is for nothing. To do this, go to file and save for web, this will open an option box so that you can modify the type of webpage it is. You can click on the edit output settings if you want your website to be an HTML or a CSS, either way you can expect to have the same result in layout. And the rest of technical writing is up to you, to suit your needs. Here is a good step-by-step process:
